1. Risks of ineffective supervision include, but are not limited to: reduced work effort, harm to consumers, decreased enjoyment for staff and supervisors, and absenteeism.

2. Supervisors should not give supervisees jobs or tasks in which they are not competent. This could lead to ill performed treatment and harm to the supervisee and/or clients. An example violation of this code is if a supervisor assigns a supervisee the task of assessing a child using the VB-MAPP when the supervisee have never used it before which could lead to inaccurate results and improperly informed treatment decisions.
